Blimey, was it really 30 years ago today
That I stood in the West side watching Frank Mac score his first goals for us v QPR. Whilst indoors the video was primed to record the ICF documentary later that night. Jesus where have all the years gone?

You weren't alone Linford. My video tape got loaned out so many times, eventually someone lost it.

Back then, I couldn't pronounce his name and called him Frank Ma-cah-veny.

Saw an interview with Frank somewhere online or on the tv and he said that he went to Live Aid, which of course was 30 years ago in July. Of course no one recognised him at all and it wasn't until the Wogan show he became a face.

Incredible really, the power of television, press and social media these days. Frank now wouldn't have had to dye his hair blonde to get noticed!!

FMOB

Remember that night as if was yesterday, well OK, not 30 years ago at least.

Was 15 then on the South Bank just the other side of the fence to the QPR fans and singing "We're on telly, we're on telly, you ain't you ain't". Cos I was pwopa hardcore ICF then eh :-)

Great days though.

Remember it well, I was in the west lower with my old man and cousin. To be fair 30 years is a bit fucking scary as that time again and most on here would have probably bought the farm.

I don't remember what was on the tele that night though, strangely enough.
